Everyone who has been looking into temperature and humidity sensors should know it: The bme280. It is by far my favorite sensor for temperature and humidty measurements. And apparently I had to find out the hard way that it’s not a great idea to expose them to rain… I thought it’d be find for a couple of years – but after just half a year the sensor started returning funny readings. When the whole system would not be reachable anymore after about a year, I decided to take a closer look…
